King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard (KGLW) are an Australian rock band formed in 2010 in Melbourne, Victoria. The band's current lineup consists of Stu Mackenzie, Ambrose Kenny-Smith, Cook Craig, Joey Walker, Lucas Harwood, and Michael Cavanagh. They are known for exploring multiple genres and staging energetic live shows.

The band's early releases blended surf music and garage rock and were released on their label, Flightless. They released several psychedelic and progressive rock albums in the early 2010s, and incorporated a broader range of musical styles later in the decade, such as jazz fusion on their 6th studio album Quarters! and the folk-inspired Paper Mâché Dream Balloon. In 2016, they generated more mainstream attention with their 8th studio album Nonagon Infinity, which won the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album.

In a 2019 study conducted by the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard were ranked No. 21 on a list of the world's hardest-working musicians. This was earned due to the number of live shows they played from January 2018 to August 2019—totaling 113 live performances both domestically and internationally.

Live in Brussels '19 is the third in a trio of benefit live albums by the Australian rock band, the album debuted at number 34 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
