Lenny Kravitz became an international star with the 1989 release of his debut album, Let Love Rule. Thereafter he supported Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, David Bowie and others, as well as collaborating with Madonna, before taping his heartfelt second album, Mama Said, and its hugely successful follow-up, 1993s Are You Gonna Go My Way. This superb live acoustic set was recorded the following year at MTV studios, New York City, 14 March 1994 for radio broadcast and features material from all three albums.
